07/23/08 , 6:18pm : I hate July.
Yes, I hate July. I think most of the reason I hate July can be summed up by a sign I once saw just outside of Dallas, Texas: "Fireworks here!!! Beer in Back." Yes, the liquor/fireworks place had a drive-thru window. Are you really that surprised? I'm actually fairly surprised that I haven't seen signs like that up here. I did see a sign in front of a church (*coughcultcough*) that announced, "Hurting People Welcome Here." I'd like to ask them what hours they allow the hurting of people during, because I am definitely interested in taking part. Do you have to set an appointment? Do you get to choose who you hurt? Do you get to choose the manner in which you hurt them? So many questions! I keep intending to stop and get someone to take my picture holding a baseball bat in front of that sign, but I never have a camera when I'm going by.
I am taking a night off and being lazy. I've been really busy the last several days, and this weekend promises to be doubly busy, so I'm taking tonight to just sit on my ass and settle down. I might go WoW for a bit, I have been missing my game time. Our net has been up and down, plus I've just been busy, so I haven't had a lot of time to get on there and kick some ass. Virtual ass-kicking sounds like a lot of fun right now.
I promised a few people I would try to update soon, so here I am, updating. Life has been interesting, but not always necessarily in a pleasant way. Not always bad, either. Such is life, I suppose. Some old friends that I haven't talked to in a while have been been popping up online recently, and that has been cool. Mostly life is the same old bs. I am going to go eat a cookie.

06/11/08 , 1:08pm : Okay, EVERYTHING is on fire. =|
Sorry about the absence, folks! Things have been pretty nuts around here since the move. This apartment complex is like... well, I don't even know how to describe it, without going into a really long rant session. Suffice it to say that it isn't an ideal living situation, and as soon as the opportunity presents itself, we will be moving again. Hopefully, it won't be such a nightmare next time around.
It is hot as fire. Our AC is dead at the moment (we've been waiting all day for the maintenance guy to show up to look at it), so we're stuck with just blowing the hot air around with fans. I hate summer :P.
So, I'm taking a break today, as much of a break as one gets around here anyway, so I'm sitting around watching episodes of "House" on Shoutcast. It's too hot to do much else, and I'm sick of staring at code already (yes I know, I should be working on this site too, but by the time I get time, I'm sick of looking at code. I'll get around to it :P ), so "House" it is. Maybe I'll WoW later. Maybe I'll go pillage on YPP. Maybe I'll just stare at the tube until it's time to go cook dinner. Then again, maybe I'll beat the living hell out of the maintenance guy and go to jail. :D

So I guess I fixed the cam issue. I don't know what I did, or what the problem was, but it seems to be solved, for the moment. Yay! I think that's the first time I've had a cam problem that didn't require replacing the stupid cam.
My shoulder is still really jacked up. Every time it starts to feel better, the dog tries to rip it off (or something else along those lines happens) again. It hurts like hell and it's making me want to throw up. Aside from that, it hasn't been too bad a day. I talked to some cool people today who made me laugh (even though it hurt like hell lol), and that's always a plus. Alright, I'm getting away from this infernal machine for a while so I can get out of this chair. For some reason this particular chair makes me shoulder throb, and it feels like what I imagine being jabbed repeatedly with an ice pick must feel like. Ciao! :)

It has actually been a fairly uneventful day today. This is pretty unusual around here, so I'm taking advantage. My shoulder is screwed up, and that has made most of my daily activities pretty unpleasant. My glasses somehow got broken last week. My external hard drive died. I have a sore throat and a cough that has gotten rather annoying. There has been drama after drama, chore after chore, and I'm pretty tired. Today has been pretty quiet, however, so I am sitting around watching my West Wing DVDs. It has been raining off and on all day, so everything is wet outside, but it's warmer than it has been. I'm actually kind of enjoying just sitting on my ass for once, just listening to the rain outside, watching TV, and sipping some Dr. Pepper.
I thought idly about updating my cam a couple of days ago, only to find that my web cam is broken. I imagine one of the cats knocked it in the floor or something, as they tend to try to climb pretty much everything these days. I think about a year or so ago, I would have probably been pretty angry. It's funny, but now, I actually find it kind of amusing that it took them this long to destroy it. I mean, they're cats. Cats climb on things. My desk is one of their favorite places to climb, because it's near a window overlooking the front yard. Tippi and Peyote both try to get on my monitor all the time. I know, I know, bad for the monitor. Unfortunately, I can't baby-sit the monitor 24/7. I'm not sure when I'll break down and buy another cam. It's not like I've been using it a lot lately really, and honestly, I can't justify the expense for something I'm probably not going to be using very much for a while. Besides which, it isn't actually bugging me. I think the only reason I really mentioned it was because I am amazed at the fact that it's not bugging me.
Despite everything that has been going on lately, I have been feeling pretty calm and mellow most of the time. I'm not sure how that happened, really, but hey, why look a gift horse in the mouth, right? I think I'm going to go back to watching The West Wing now. I'm watching "Commencement," and for some reason, that episode always gets to me. I love it!! :D Thanks again!

03/09/08 , 11:28am : Yay!!
For the person who keeps sending me the kickass The West Wing DVDs, thank you!! Man, I LOVE that show. It has been awesome to have those when I take a break during the day, I always have something good to watch! *bighugehugs!!* You have a thank you note coming! :)
I know folks, I really need to get my ass in gear and get this site finished. I just haven't had any time :/. Things have been really busy around here and I haven't had time to do much of anything internet-related. Hopefully I'll have time to get it finished soon! :D

02/07/08 , 12:02am : and now for something a little different
GREEN! Oh come on, you're not really that surprised are you? I would attempt to explain, but I'm not certain that I wholly understand it myself. Besides, not everything has to be explained! Anyway, I like the way it looks so far, so I'm going to go with it. This site is still under construction, and may take a little while to get finished, as I don't have a lot of time to mess with it these days. I'm planning to keep the site as simple as possible, so a lot of the old stuff won't be coming back. Check back soon!
